How to put the hands on your clocks

Pop the hour hand onto the shaft in the middle of the clock. It’s best to use a bit of force and hold the hand right at the hole to avoid bending the hands.

Repeat this process with the minute hand, popping it on on top of the already placed hour hand.

Next pop on the second hand, placing the little shaft inside the top of the stacked hands. You’ll see a small opening for this.

TOP TIPS: You’ll know all hands are fixed in when they don’t move when you hold the clock up. If any hands drop down then it’s not popped in properly.

If any hands get stuck when the clock is on, make sure no hands are bent up or down. For example if the minute hand is bent up, it can prevent the second hand ontop from rotating. You can easily check this from looking at the clock on the side.

Make sure to use a new battery for the clock.

Be gentle! Our clocks and the hands are fragile, so use the best care possible for them.
